NAVAJO STORIES - Cashmere Blend Scarf
"This design is inspired by the geometrical patterns in Navajo tapestries. I chose colors that represent the warmth that seems woven into this tribal culture, and the connection they share with the land and forces of nature around them. The textures speak of ancient traditions and the intricate shapes tell their story, full of symbols and mysticism."

SHIBORI PATH - Cashmere Scarf
"One of my favorite textile techniques is Shibori, a Japanese dyed technique. For this design I used one of my own hand-dyed fabrics; the stripes represent many spiritual paths or routes, and were inspired by tribal prints. The colors are a mix of indigo and white in the traditional Shibori style. combined with earth tones to recall a simple, natural element."

FREEDOM - Cashmere Scarf
"During the 'Rorschach' design challenge, I was fascinated with those forms and shapes that appear suddenly within our mind's eye and the sudden rush of emotion that accompany them. 'Freedom' represents the great wings of our subconscious, escaping beyond all the fear and darkness we keep inside ourselves. I wanted to get across that almost apocalyptic atmosphere, so chose a mix of dark colors contrasted with burning orange to retain that impression."
